We proudly announce our ongoing support for the Beef Sticks for Backpacks (BSFB), a non-profit organization dedicated to ending weekend food insecurity for Colorado children. Formerly known as Beef Bank Colorado, this giving business has changed its name to better align with its mission: to provide healthy beef sticks to children in need.
As supporters of this vital work, we are pleased to work with Beef Sticks for Backpacks to bolster their efforts in the fight against hunger among Colorado youth. With the help of generous donors and partners like Kidspak of Loveland, Five Rivers Cattle Feeding, Arcadia Asset Management, Colorado Cattlemen’s Association, Colorado Livestock Association and Colorado State University, Beef Sticks for Backpacks has already made great strides in handling food insecurity within our local communities but can always do more.
Farm Credit of Southern Colorado is proud to work with this generous company to help achieve the common goal of expanding access to healthy food for children across the country, starting in our backyards. Their mission aligns with our Company Values, so we need to step up and help put local kids FIRST in any way we can.
Our cooperative has been working with BSFB internally for 3 years now but felt it was time to bring the efforts public and spread the word about this charity. We want you all to know how you can help contribute to kids in need by donating beef sticks through this specific program. By supporting Beef Sticks for Backpacks, you’re providing needed healthy nutrition to those in need and making a tangible difference in the lives of Colorado’s youth.
This May, as we celebrate International Beef Month, we invite you to join us in supporting Beef Sticks for Backpacks as well. Your donation will help ensure that no child in Colorado goes hungry over the weekend, laying the foundation for our community’s happier, healthier future. Together, we will be able to make a meaningful impact and create a world where every child has access to nutritious food.
