Dear Customer Owners,

We hope you all had a fantastic 4th of July celebration!

Being halfway through 2024, I come to you with updates and upcoming news from our cooperative. Your continued involvement and trust in our organization is the backbone of our unity, so I want to thank you all for your support. I am also pleased to share this month’s new items with you. Wheat harvest is underway on the Eastern Plains and while results I am hearing are mixed, generally the reports are that yields are exceeding expectations. We continue to wish you a safe and bountiful harvest and growing season.

Technology Update

Project Evolution Tech Update

As we now enter the second half of 2024, our Project Evolution technology transformation is truly in full swing! I would describe this project phase as both a sprint and a marathon. Our loan origination platform conversion to the software nCino, is coming up at the end of the 3rd quarter of this year so our team is sprinting to that finish line. Our overall exit from the third-party provider AgVantis that I have described is still on-schedule for mid to late 2025 so that marathon is also being run at the same time.

I know that for many customers, these software changes will not be apparent and should not affect your customer owner experience, but I believe in keeping you fully informed of what is occurring in your association. Our internal goal is that you are only affected in a positive way as we use this technology transformation to further evolve our business delivery model.

Those changes will be further outlined in the coming months, but as I have described in previous updates, the vision is to provide a more automated process for credit applications to approvals, and to enhance our relationships with each of you by enabling our team to spend more time on each relationship we are blessed to have with our cooperative owners.

Colorado Springs Building Update

I know I haven’t provided a recent update on the Colorado Springs building in some time, but we continue to have interest in the building listing. We have received just a few offers but will continue to have the building listed for future interest. I will continue to update you all as we progress through the process so thank you for your patience. Our desire is still to sell the building and to move to a more reasonable leased space in Colorado Springs.

Sincerely,
Farm Credit of Southern Colorado CEO
