Get to know Michael
Michael Rushton has been with Farm Credit of Southern Colorado in the Lamar office since August 2025. Prior to being a loan officer with FCSC, Michael obtained banking experience at a local credit union that serves Southern Colorado.
Michael was born in western Kansas and was raised in Holly, a rural town in Southeast Colorado. Growing up immersed in the ag industry, he developed a strong connection to the land and rural communities. In June of 2025, Michael married into a farm and ranch family, further deepening his ties to agriculture.
Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and their families. Outside of the office, you may find him working with his thoroughbred racehorses, coaching a local high school basketball team, helping his in-laws with their farm and ranch operation, or on the golf course. He looks forward to helping local farmers and ranchers in any way possible when it comes to achieving their goals.
